Basic Gameplay

1

Watch the Heartbeat

A heartbeat line appears on screen, moving right with each beat. Each pulse represents one beat.

2

Count to 7

Count along with the beat in your head: 1-2-3-4-5-6-7. Beats usually have visual and audio cues.

3

Press on Beat 7

When the heartbeat reaches the 7th beat, press spacebar. Perfect timing earns a Perfect rating.

4

Stay Steady

Keep following the rhythm, don't let visual distractions affect you. Trust your ears, not your eyes.

Timing Windows

The game has some tolerance for input timing:

Perfect (±40ms) - Perfect timing, 100% score

Good (±80ms) - Slight deviation, 75% score

Okay (±120ms) - Larger deviation, 50% score

Miss - Out of range, no score

First Level Guide

The tutorial level 'Samurai Techno' will familiarize you with basic controls. It's a simple 4/4 song with steady, clear rhythm.

  • Listen to the drum beat clearly, it will help you find the rhythm
  • Don't look at the heartbeat line position, focus on listening
  • Relax, it's okay if you don't get Perfect the first time

Important Settings

Audio Calibration

Calibrate audio offset in the main menu to ensure audio-visual sync. This is key to good scores.

Audio Device

Wired headphones recommended. Bluetooth headphones have latency that affects gameplay.

Tips for Beginners

  • 2Tap your finger or foot to keep the beat
  • 3Don't stare at the screen, let visuals assist rather than dominate
  • 4Use practice mode to repeat difficult sections
